Remote Engagement Essentials Workshops
Does your work involve engaging with, providing services to or developing policy for the residents in regional and remote communities?
Would you like to learn more about planning, engagement projects and developing your intercultural engagement skills?
The Remote Engagement Essentials (REE) Workshop is designed to provide participants with an overview of the essential components for effective engagement in regional and remote Aboriginal communities. Held over 2 days, the face-to-face REE Workshops are delivered by Engagement Institute Licensed Trainer, Rob Gravestocks and hosted by the Remote Information and Engagement team.
Open to both NT Government and private sector, the workshops include interactive activities, group discussions and content on the Remote Engagement and Coordination Strategy, and special presentations from BushTel and the Aboriginal Interpreters Service.
Provided free of charge to participants*, annual sessions are held in Darwin and Alice Springs with additional sessions held in alternating regional centres, Alyangula, Nhulunbuy, Katherine and Tennant Creek.
With high demand for the Darwin workshops, we encourage interested participants to attend workshops in the regional locations where their roles are relevant.
Priority consideration for participants will be given to applicants based on NT Government employee status, upcoming engagement processes in remote NT communities, and job relevancy to course outcomes.
Check out our sister website, BushTel for more information on this year’s session dates.
